This is a true Portfolio Manager role, not just an analyst job with a fancy title. You’ll be the third or fourth person on the team. You’ll help build the firm from the ground up, instead of joining something already established. You’ll manage our long-term value portfolio in India and global markets. An analyst will report to you, and you’ll work closely with the CIO every day. In the mornings, you’ll focus on screening, reading annual reports, and building models from the ground up. Afternoons are for writing memos, joining management calls, and challenging your own ideas before others do. Every few weeks, you’ll bring your best ideas (or your concerns) to the Investment Committee. You’ll have the final say on what we buy, hold, or sell. We want someone with 6 to 10 years of experience in equity research or portfolio management. You should be able to walk us through a position you started; what your thesis was, how it turned out, and what you learned from any mistakes. You’re comfortable building DCFs and owner earnings from raw filings, not just using templates. What we can offer you? You’ll manage a live portfolio from your first day. We use founder capital, so there are no outside investors or redemption pressure. As we grow, there’s a real path to becoming Deputy CIO.
